Buy or Build

The choice of whether to buy an existing and established property or to have a new one built is dependent on many factors including timescale, available funds, etc. but in most cases it is because your dream home is not available in either the style or location that you want.

There are some alternatives, what about an old property either in need of renovation to give you a character home, or a ruin to demolish and have a brand new house built on the site.

Having chosen a property, either an old one to renovate or a ruin to demolish and rebuild, we will introduce you to the Project Manager of our sister company, ”New Choice Projects, Lda”. Our Project Manager will hold your hand from the first visit to the Architect to the handing over of the keys. We use only architects and builders who have already been, ”tried and tested” and will meet the standards you require at a price you can afford.
Our Project Manager will arrange inspection visits, quotations for any extras that you may later decide on, help you choose bathrooms, kitchens and tiling.

New Choice Projects will also arrange your building contract for the building work and will liaise with your solicitor over all issues. You will receive progress reports and photographs of the project to keep you up to date on all aspects from the planning stages to the finished house.

Consider also that to make an investment now and only build at some time in the future secures the land at today's prices. We can't tell you how many times we have heard the words ”we wish we had bought years ago” but if you invest now whatever you decide to do you have an asset which is increasing in value, far more lucrative than money on deposit and without the risk of the stock market. Ruins generally have doubled in price in most areas and trebled in select areas over the last five years.
